About The Blog

My name is Macy Sheehan and I am the author of this blog as well as a student attending The University of Texas at Dallas. I enjoy visiting places and sightseeing, even if I’m just exploring the small area around where I live. I like providing information and helping with decision making, especially in matters I’m informed about.

I remember trying to help friends decide where to go and how the only answer was fast food. Fast food is cheap, which is always nice, but I knew there were other options available that would provide variety as well as keep us entertained for longer. And, as a UTD student, I knew my student status would help me find places worth visiting at a discount.

Finding places to visit wasn’t as straightforward as I thought. My search online for credible sources with information about discounts provided by the Comet Center at UTD offered few options. The search result lacked pictures, personal reviews, and didn’t attract attention about the discounts available on campus due to the page being hard to find. This lack of detail or personalized information started my interest in making a knowledgeable blog about discounted tickets offered to UTD students, all written by a UTD student understanding the lack of material out there. I want UTD students to be able to use my blog to decide where to go based on the posts about cost and experience.

My blog will host infographics about price, a podcast, and interviews. My posts will cover cost differences, the location of the discount, and detailed experiences giving an idea of what to expect to those visiting the places. The information will be provided from the view of a UTD student, aiming to cover what other UTD students question when looking at the discounts.
